All the Public Sector & Private Sector Banks are liberally sanctioning loan for pursuing MBBS Degree Course. For this purpose, various Banks mainly demand the following documents:
(a) Letter of Admission to the MBBS Degree Course issued by the College.
(b) ID & Residence Proof of the student.
(c) Copies of certificates/testimonials for having passed the 10th & Inter examination.
(d) Copies of Income/Residence/ID Proof of Parents/Guardians.
(e) Details of Guarantor with Income/Residence/ID Proof if the loan amount sought is more than Rs.4.00 lacs and the Collateral Security (Immovable Property) if the loan amount is more than Rs.7.5 lacs.
For the students whose family income from all sources is less than Rs.4.5 lacs, there is a provision of Central Scheme to provide Interest Subsidy (CSIS) for the period of moratorium on Educational Loans taken by students from Economically .Weaker Sections from scheduled banks under the Educational Loan Scheme of the lndian Banks' Association to pursue TechnicallProfessional Education studies in lndia".
The benefits of the Scheme would be applicable to those student belonging to economically weaker sections, with an annual gross parental/ family income with upper limit of Rs. 4.5 lacs per year (from all sources).
