
OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program is designed to inculcate the necessary empathy in the students as the curriculum extends beyond medicine. A regular course curriculum combined with a deep emphasis on research and training program enables students to gain frontline knowledge in all facets of today's critical health issues. All efforts are made to keep students' initiative and curiosity alive by making them active participants in the teaching-learning process.
4.5years+1 year compulsory rotatory internship
Every student shall undergo a period of study extending over 4 ½ academe years divided into 9 semesters, (i.e. of 6 months each) from the date of commencement of his/her study for the subjects comprising of the medical curriculum to the date of completion of exanination and followed by one year compulsory rotating internship.
The period of 4½ years is divided into different phases consist the study of Pre-clinical subjects, para clinical and clinical subjects.

The admission of M.B.B.S. batch 2022-23 will be done through NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) only.

The candidate should have passed 12th class under 10+2 scheme examination of recognised University/Board of any Indian state with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, Biology as subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.
Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI’s), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for appearing in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2021.
Course Duration: 4½ years plus 1 year compulsory rotating internship.

The Rajshree Educational Trust has allocated some amount as ‘Students Aid Fund’ which is meant for financial help to the needy students. Student, whose parents/guardians have low income along with their satisfactory performance in the examination conducted by University, are eligible to apply for the assistance from this fund.
The Canara Bank and Punjab National Bank offers student loans to deserving/meritorious students.
ELIGIBILITY
Minimum 50% in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English. Age as on 31st December to be 17 years

Pre-clinical 1 – 2 : Two Semesters Anatomy, Bio-chemistry, Physiology
Para-clinical 3 – 5 : Three Semesters Community Medicine; Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Clinical postings in wards, OPDs
Clinical 6 – 9 : Four Semesters Community Medicine, Medicine and allied subjects (Psychiatry, Dermatology) , Obstetrics and gynaecology.
Pediatrics: Surgery and allied subjects (Anesthesiology, E.N.T., Ophthalmology, Orthopedics);
Clinical postings
Students have to do internship compulsorily. The total time period of Internship is 1 year. The posting details are given below:
Medicine – This specialty has the duration of 1 ½ months.
Surgery – This specialty has the duration of 1 ½ months
Rural – This specialty has the duration of 3 months
Paediatrics – This specialty has the duration of 1 month
Obstetrics and Gynaecology – This specialty has the duration of 1 month
Casualty – This specialty has the duration of 1 month
Anaesthesiology – This specialty has the duration of 15 days
Ophthalmology – This specialty has the duration of 15 days
Elective – This specialty has the duration of 2 months
All this will make a total 12 months
During the period of internship, more importance will be given for realistic “hands-on” experience. Interns will be given a stipend as per as the orders of the Indian government.
