Overview

The diploma in General Nursing & midwifery (GNM) at Rajshree Nursing Institute, Bareilly is a three years course, recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and affiliated to U.P. Stale Medical Faculty, Lucknow. The purpose of this course is to prepare a qualified General Nurse who will function as a member of a Health Team in both Hospital and Community Health Services especially in rural areas. It prepares the students to develop an aptitude for nursing and to provide the required knowledge and skills to give comprehensive nursing care to patients of all types of illness. The curriculum followed would be as per the guidelines laid down by the Indian Nursing Council and U.P. State Medical Faculty. The medium of instruction is English.

Eligibility

  • Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 34 years. (17 years as on 31 December of that year)
  • Minimum education:
    1. 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.
    2. 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
  • Students shall be medically fit.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
  • Students shall be admitted once in a year.

Course Fee

Fees (Rs.88,000/-) as per regulation of the U.P. State Medical Faculty/INC, New Delhi/MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly

All the fees should be paid in the form of a Cash/Demand Draft drawn in favour of Rajshree Nursing Institute payable at Bareilly.

Fees must be deposited as per the fee schedule.

Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Hostel fees is payable by those students, who will be provided hostel accommodation.

Required Documents

Documents required while submitting application forms for GNM Programs:

Every student shall undergo a period of study extending over 3 academic years from the date of commencement of the study for the subjects comprising the medical curriculum to the date of completion of the examination and including a half-year compulsory internship.

The period of 3 years is divided into the study of different subjects related to Biological Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Fundamentals of Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing, English, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Computer Education, Midwifery and Gynecology, Pediatric Nursing, etc. and six months internship.
